Walk the White Cliffs of Dover

One of the most enjoyable routes is the circular walk from the White Cliffs Visitor Centre towards Fan Bay and South Foreland Lighthouse. The full route is approximately 3.5 miles and follows the clifftop through open chalk grassland, with sweeping views across the Channel.

The King Charles III England Coast Path also passes along this stretch of coastline, providing opportunities for both short walks and longer adventures. Created using material excavated during construction of the Channel Tunnel, it is now home to grassland, wildlife and accessible walking routes. Its setting beneath the cliffs makes it very different from the elevated walks above Dover.
