Autumn Sport in Dover: Football, Rugby and Match Days at the Elephant & Hind

Autumn has arrived, and so has a packed sporting calendar. If you’re looking for a pub to watch live sport in Dover, join us at the Elephant & Hind in Market Square. We show football, rugby and major international tournaments on our big screens, with pub food, Kentish ales and plenty of match-day conversation.

England’s Nations League campaign

England have four UEFA Nations League matches coming up in just eleven days. They begin at Wembley against Spain on Saturday 26 September at 7.45pm, then travel to face Czechia on Tuesday 29 September at 7.45pm. Croatia follow on Saturday 3 October at 5pm, before England host Czechia on Tuesday 6 October at 7.45pm. Later in the autumn, it’s England v Croatia on Thursday 12 November and Spain v England on Sunday 15 November, both scheduled for 7.45pm. All times are UK time.

Spain at Wembley is a cracking way to start. Whether you follow every England match or simply fancy an evening out with friends, there’s something better about watching it together than checking the score on your phone.

The Premier League returns in October

Club football resumes after the international break with a strong weekend of televised fixtures. Manchester United v Spurs kicks off at 5.30pm on Saturday 10 October, followed by Liverpool v Manchester City at 4.30pm on Sunday 11 October. Looking further ahead, Chelsea v Manchester United is scheduled for Saturday 31 October at 12.30pm, with Liverpool v Arsenal on Sunday 1 November at 4.30pm.

November brings international rugby

Rugby fans have three England home fixtures to look forward to in November’s Nations Championship: Australia on Sunday 8 November, Japan on Saturday 14 November, and New Zealand on Saturday 21 November. It’s a fine run of autumn rugby and a good excuse to get the group together.
